COOS BAY, Ore. -- A Coos Bay man with outstanding warrants was arrested after police spotted an infraction while the man was riding a bike.
On Thursday, September 6, around 9:20 p.m., a Coos County Sheriff’s deputy was patrolling through the area of Englewood in Coos Bay when the deputy noticed a man riding a bicycle without a required headlight.
The cyclist nearly hit the patrol vehicle so the deputy made a traffic stop, the sheriff's office said in their report.
The man, 26-year-old Robert D. Remsen of Coos Bay, had an active warrant for his arrest out of the Coos County Sheriff’s Office for Resisting Arrest, Escape in the third degree and Disorderly Conduct in the second degree.
After the warrant was confirmed, Remsen was placed under arrest without incident.
He was transported and lodged at the Coos County Jail.
