Cranberry Sweets opens doors to winter wonderland

Cranberry Sweets will mark its 50th Anniversary in 2012, but their Annual Christmas Open House is only three years old. However, it continues to grow bigger and better each year.
Second generation Owner Clayton Shaw says the event began in 2009, after they expanded their Coos Bay location in Empire.
Stephanie Perry says it is something everyone who works there gets excited about, and starts planning for, long before Christmas arrives.
"It takes a lot of preparation and we get very excited every year. It's a lot of fun!"
Shaw says the planning for this Christmas Open House actually started back in February, adding that they have accumulated well over $10,000 in new Christmas decorations.
