Dept. of Human Services in Coos County moves to new home in North Bend
NORTH BEND, Ore. – It’s now easier to access various services from the Oregon Department of Human Services in Coos County.
Coos County DHS moved to its new Airport Lane location earlier this month.
Now, services including child welfare, self-sufficiency and vocational rehabilitation are under one roof.
DHS officials say the move provides great benefits for its employees and the community.
"We have more space for our community contractors to provide services and child welfare has larger visitation rooms to be able to provide those visits," says Gloria Clark with DHS District 7 for Coos and Curry counties.
The new DHS building is on Airport Lane in North Bend and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5p.m.
