Dungeness Crab Commission seeks new member
NORTH BEND, Ore. -- If you've ever wanted to get an inside look at the crabbing industry, now's your chance.
The Dungeness Crab Commission is looking for a new member, and you don't have to be a crab genius to serve on the commission.
Anyone who lives in Oregon is eligible to join the board.
It is a volunteer position.
"It's a wonderful opportunity to travel, engage with the seafood industry at a national and international level, learn about it and get a chance to advocate for our wonderful state and our wonderful state product, the Oregon Dungeness crab," said the commission’s Tim Novotny.
If you have an interest in joining the commission, you don't have a lot of time.
Applications must be in before the May 18 deadline – one week from this Friday.
