DIAMOND LAKE, Ore. -- The US Forest Service and Chemult Rural Fire Protection District worked to contain a fire at Diamond Lake Resort Saturday night.
Around 9:20 p.m., US Forest Service engines and Chemult Rural Fire responded to a structure fire reported at the resort on the Diamond Lake Ranger District.
"Thanks to the timely response of both crews only one structure, which was an employee house, was lost and they were able extinguish the fire, preventing the spread to additional buildings and vegetation," Umpqua National Forest said in a statement.
They say employees were evacuated safely and no injuries were reported.
At this time the cause of the fire is unknown.
