Following Subway robbery in Winston, police say to be observant when witnessing crime
WINSTON, Ore. -- Three men from Douglas County were arrested after robbing a Subway restaurant in Winston earlier this month.
According to Winston Police, a man wearing a ski mask entered the Subway on Douglas Boulevard and threatened an employee.
He took cash from the register and fled in an SUV.
Police say charges included theft and criminal mischief in the second degree.
We talked to police about what you should do if you're a witness to a robbery.
"Be very observant; remember details about the subject,” said Winston Police Chief Scott Gugel. “We obviously don't want you to put yourself in a situation that's going to endanger you."
According to police, one of the men has been released, two others remain in the Douglas County jail.
