Franz Bakery van 'toast' after Gladstone fire, police say

GLADSTONE, Ore. – No one was hurt Thursday when a Franz Bakery delivery van caught fire in Gladstone, police officials said.

The vehicle fire was reported near the intersection of 82nd Drive and Oatfield Road.

Gladstone Fire managed to extinguish the flames, but police officials said that the delivery truck was “toast.”

“It was the best smelling fire we have ever responded to,” the Gladstone Police Department said.
