EUGENE, Ore. - On Sunday, the public had the chance to learn about how to use plants to promote health.
Mountain Rose Herbs hosted its semi-annual Herbalism workshop at the Mount Pisgah Arboretum.
The free event showcased speakers, sharing their knowledge on different herbs and how they can be used.
These workshops have been an ongoing series for 5 years, and the staff says it's a way to make herbalism available to everyone.
"Free herbalism talks are kind of a rare thing; usually herbal conferences are very expensive and not accessible to the beginner," said Kiley Gwynn. "So, we really put this on to bring herbalism to more people in our community."
The next free workshop will be held on herb
It will once again be at the Mount Pisgah arboretum.
