CLACKAMAS, Ore. – The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office says they have reason to believe that a man arrested on child pornography charges impersonated law enforcement officers to contact minors.

Nicholas James Stacy, 24, from unincorporated Milwaukie, was arrested Wednesday afternoon on a federal charge of possession and transportation of child pornography.

Federal prosecutors allege Stacy had more than 9,000 videos and 20,000 images of child porn on his iPhone and uploaded at least 94 files of child porn to his Gmail account.

The U.S. Attorney’s office said Google and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children first flagged Stacy’s online activities.

After investigating, deputies believe Stacy has impersonated a police officer, security officer, probation officer, or other law enforcement officers on numerous occasions to contact minors for sexual exploitation.

The sheriff’s office believes there may be additional victims.

Anyone who had contact with Stacy and believes he or she is a victim, should call the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at (503) 723-4949 or by using the online email form. Please reference CCSO Case #18-954547.
