Lakeside man sentenced to 10 years for 2017 manslaughter

COQUILLE, Ore. -- A Lakeside man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for the death of a man last summer, the Coos County District Attorney’s Office reports.

According to Coos County DA Paul Frasier, 33-year-old Kentaurus Eagle Rondeau pled guilty to first degree manslaughter in the death of Randy Bendel in the parking lot of the McKay's store in Lakeside on September 15, 2017.

Rondeau pleaded guilty Monday afternoon and was sentenced immediately after.

The DA says Rondeau is not eligible for early release and will also do three years of post-prison supervision.
