COOS BAY, Ore. -- Coos County will be sending two pageant winners to compete for the Miss Oregon title this summer.

In front of a sold-out crowd at Southwestern Oregon Community College Saturday night, Rylee Young was crowned Miss Coos County 2018.

And this year, for the first time, a second "Miss" was crowned as Kaila Tripp was named Miss Pacific Shores 2018.

Both won scholarship money to help with their education and they say they're excited to represent their community.

"I'm super excited for the many events that will get to help raise more money for certain organizations here in town,” said Miss Coos County 2018 Rylee Young. “Just be out there in the community and just help everyone."

“We want to be out in this community; we want to be servants of this community; that is what we feel is most important,” said Miss Pacific Shores 2018 Kaila Tripp, “so reach out to Vicki Ericson or Aimee Springsteen, our board of directors, they can plug you into what we can do and what we do best."

The Miss Oregon Scholarship program will be held in Seaside this June.
