North Bend man arrested after physical altercation with beach campers, violating probation
COOS BAY, Ore. -- A North Bend was arrested Sunday morning after police were called to investigate an altercation at a Coos Bay beach.
Around 1:45 a.m., Coos County Sheriff's deputies responded to the reported disturbance at the county park located near Bastendorff Beach where it was determined 39-year-old Chad Fondren was intoxicated and got into a physical altercation with another set of campers.
Fondren received a laceration below his left eye and had to be evaluated by medical personnel.
Deputies discovered Fondren, who was at the campground with his wife, was in violation of a restraining order and also on probation, the report said.
He was transported by ambulance to Bay Area Hospital for his injuries then later arrested for Restraining Order Violation and Probation Violation.
Fondren was transported to the Coos County Jail, were he was lodged until court.
