Police: Man wanted for outstanding warrants arrested in Powers

POWERS, Ore. -- A Powers man wanted on outstanding warrants was located and arrested over the weekend, police said.

Saturday, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office received information that 40-year-old Paul Eugene Thomas, who had warrants for his arrest, was residing at a home on King Street in Powers.

Deputies responded and didn't find anyone, but a neighbor told police Thomas and his girlfriend had recently left the residence.

Deputies checked the area and located Thomas at the Powers Market.

He was arrested on his outstanding warrants and transported to the Coos County Jail where he's currently being held in lieu of $30,000 bail.
