Police: Roseburg woman arrested in possession of 1.6 grams of heroin

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- A Roseburg woman was arrested after the car she was riding in was stopped by police in Roseburg for a violation.

According to a Roseburg Police Department report, an officer pulled over a 35-year-old Myrtle Creek man driving a 1996 BMW 328.

His driving status was suspended, police said.

The passenger, 24-year-old Whitney Nicole Atterbury, of Roseburg, was wanted by her parole officer, and found to be in possession of approximately 1.6 grams of heroin, the report said.

The driver was cited and released. Atterbury was arrested and lodged at Douglas County Corrections.

The arrest took place around 10:15 a.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of Garden Valley Boulevard.
