Man accused of murdering woman now in custody

    UPDATE: Saturday evening: Medford Police say the suspect, Jesse Allen, is now in custody.

    UPDATE: The suspect's vehicle has been found, but the suspect remains outstanding.


    Medford Police say that they are looking for a suspect involved in an apparent homicide after a woman was found dead in an apartment Friday.

    Police officers responded to the 3000 block of Arrowhead Drive Friday at 2:30 p.m after a report of several gunshots heard from inside of an apartment and a male subject observed running from the location.

    Police say upon entering the apartment, they located a deceased adult female who sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

    Police have identified 20-year-old Jesse Allen as the suspect. Allen has not yet been located.

    Police say that Allen is described as a white male adult, 5’8” tall and 150 lbs. Despite the looks from the photo provided by police, Allen has blonde hair and blue eyes, but police say that he may have a shaved head.

    Police say that Allan has several tattoos on both arms and very distinct tattoos on his neck that display the letters “TVS” in block lettering.

    Allen is believed to be driving a white 2013 Toyota Corolla with tinted windows and an Oregon license plate lettered "(431-KWV)"

    The motive and events leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.

    Anyone with information regarding Allen’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.

    Police advise not to confront Allen as he is considered armed and dangerous.

    The victim has been identified and her name will be released upon next of kin notification.
