WINCHESTER BAY, Ore. -- A Winchester Bay man was attacked and robbed Friday morning and authorities have made an arrest in connection to the case.
Just after 5 a.m. Friday, Douglas County 911 received a medical alert alarm activated by a man at Fisherman's Mobile Home Park.
When the ambulance arrived, they learned the man had been assaulted leading Douglas County Sheriff's deputies to investigate.

Joshua Roberts has not yet been arrested on the crimes stemming from this incident, police said. "He has been arrested on the warrant out of California and is currently in custody," Douglas County Sheriff's Office said. An earlier press release incorrectly stated Roberts had been arrested for new crimes. "At this time, he has only been arrested on the warrant; however, the charges are imminent," the sheriff's office said.
"We are working with the District Attorney's Office on procedural matters related to the incident," said Lt. Chris Merrifield with Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
The 62-year-old victim was transported to an undisclosed hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the robbery.
