Roseburg police arrest felon in possession of firearm after shooting into the air

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- A Myrtle Creek man was arrested after he fired shots into the air with a firearm around 3:40 a.m. Saturday.

Police say 38-year-old Taruis Shandonjoseph Crettol went to a residence on SE Hamilton Street and made a commotion.

After driving down the road, he shot four times into the air with his 1911 firearm, the report said.

Crettol was found by police a few hours later and the firearm was located in the vehicle.

He was arrested and lodged at Douglas County Corrections, charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
