Sheriff: Man, 37, injured in logging accident in Coos County

COOS COUNTY, Ore. - The Coos County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that there was a logging accident in Coos County.

A Coast Guard helicopter evacuated the 37-year-old man from the scene off Middle Creek Road and flew him to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield.

His condition and the circumstances of the accident are not yet known. The man is believed to have suffered some kind of neck injury, the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's office said the accident happened around 12:30 p.m. Friday.

The man's name has not yet been released.
