COOS BAY, Ore. -- Two people were arrested Saturday in Coos Bay on burglary-related charges, the Coos County Sheriff's Office reports.
Around 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, Coos County deputies were dispatched to 62772 Flagstaff Road in Coos Bay in response to a reported burglary at an occupied dwelling.
Upon arrival, police learned one person had entered the house from a basement door while two others stayed outside.
The suspects fled when one of the residents confronted them with a gun.
The suspect’s vehicle was blocked in by another resident who was returning home.
Two of the three suspects were located, police said.
The investigation revealed 34-year-old Christopher Sparkman had entered the residence and had either attempted or actually stolen items from within the basement of the house.
Meanwhile, the woman, 29-year-old Kelly Warren, had provided Sparkman with transportation to the property.
Both Warren and Sparkman were arrested.
Sparkman was charged with Burglary I while Warren was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Burglary I.
