COOS BAY, Ore. -- Two people were arrested Saturday in Coos Bay on burglary-related charges, the Coos County Sheriff's Office reports.

Around 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, Coos County deputies were dispatched to 62772 Flagstaff Road in Coos Bay in response to a reported burglary at an occupied dwelling.

Upon arrival, police learned one person had entered the house from a basement door while two others stayed outside.

The suspects fled when one of the residents confronted them with a gun.

The suspect’s vehicle was blocked in by another resident who was returning home.

Two of the three suspects were located, police said.

The investigation revealed 34-year-old Christopher Sparkman had entered the residence and had either attempted or actually stolen items from within the basement of the house.

Meanwhile, the woman, 29-year-old Kelly Warren, had provided Sparkman with transportation to the property.
