Prosecutors Friday announced former U.S. Representative Anthony Weiner will appear in federal court to be charged in a sexting investigation that began when Dailymail.com exclusively broke the story in January 2016.

The New York Times reports he will plead guilty to transferring obscene material to a minor.

According to the Dailymail.com, it was allegedly revealed Weiner had been in a sexting relationship with a 15-year-old girl.
