PARADISE, Calif. - The Butte County, California, Sheriff's Office released body cam video from inside the Camp Fire as a deputy raced to rescue 4 people - only to find himself surrounded by flames.
The deputy was driving through Paradise, California, en route to a rescue at the hospital when his patrol car broke down.
That left him surrounded by fire.
The video is hard to watch: People are struggling to breathe, and there appears to be no way out.
Ultimately, an emergency vehicle drives through the area, and the small group is able to climb on board.
