Applications open Nov. 14 for hundreds of Forest Service summer jobs

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Do you want to work in the Great Outdoors in the summer of 2018?

With more than 100 jobs available in positions ranging from archaeology to trails to fire, there are plenty of opportunities to care for the land and serve people across the Umpqua National Forest.

This year, all summer job applications must be submitted online at from November 14 – 20, 2017.

From Diamond Lake to south of Tiller to Mt. June north of Cottage Grove, seasonal Forest Service employees help provide clean water, abundant wildlife habitat, sustainable forest products, wildfire support, incredible recreation, and much more across the nearly one-million acre landscape.
