COQUILLE, Ore. – Summer football camps are popping up with the fall season just around the corner.

Coquille High School is holding its annual camp starting next week.

The Red Devil Wing-T Football Camp begins Monday and runs through Thursday.

Kids from all over Coos County are invited to participate in the four-day camp at Coquille High.

For third through eighth graders, the camp runs 3-4:30 p.m.

High school campers will go 5-7 p.m.

"(We’ll be covering) fundamentals, like how to stay safe on the field; it's a big concern for us these days,” said Coquille head coach David Thomason. “Also how to work together with a group and overcome challenges, working together with other people. There's a wonderful quote…it's, ‘If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, bring a bunch of people with you.’"

Thomason says all participants need to have valid insurance.

The cost of the camp is $25 and you can register before it starts on Monday.
